The Committee on Division/APA Relations (CODAPAR) is an overarching committee within the American Psychological Association (APA) that fosters the relationship between APA and its many constituent divisions to better promote psychology as a science, as a profession and as a means of promoting human welfare. According to the CODAPAR webpage, the committee serves a number of valuable functions, including :
- Planning and hosting the Division Leadership Conference.
- Facilitation of coordination and communication among APA Divisions.
- Facilitate resolution of disputes among the many various APA divisions.
- Helping to develop training programs for division officers such as the
Division Leadership Conference, APA annual meeting, or other forums.
"The Committee on Division and APA Relations (CODAPAR) shall be generally concerned with the mutual involvement of divisions and APA in fostering psychology as a science, as a profession, and as a means of promoting human welfare."
