As a trainee in interdisciplinary health-service psychology, your research likely involves a number of health measures (e.g., laboratory complete blood counts, heart rate, magnetic resonance imaging, neuropsychological assessment) and health technologies (e.g., computer-adapted equipment, smart devices). Unfortunately, these resources are not cost-free.

Whether or not you plan to pursue a research career, applying for and obtaining research funding is an important skill that you can begin to develop early in graduate school and continue to expand throughout your career. Hospitals and medical centers are increasingly expecting their clinicians to design and contribute to research and quality improvement projects.

- Funding Tips
- Awards and Grants Listing

The above pages provide a number of resources available to graduate students for securing research funding.
They are not meant to be a comprehensive listing of all information and resources available to you, but it does represent a very good place in which you can start understanding more about how to find funding for your psychological research. We are happy to address any questions that you may have, but please check all available listed resources first before directing your questions to WIHPT. Happy surfing!
